Awami League General Secretary and Minister for Road
Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader has said that the BNP is looking for a
blind alley to come to power. That is why the BNP has been holding dialogues
with various political parties recently to outline a united movement against
the government.
He made the remarks at a press briefing at his office in the
Secretariat on Thursday (May 26) morning.
Obaidul Quader said the BNP is trying to destabilize the
country.
Behind the dialogue, the BNP and its allies are hatching a
deep conspiracy of communal evil forces. But the people of the country are
ready to stop any conspiracy.
Regarding the unification of BNP leaders with different
political parties, the Awami League general secretary said, "The people of
the country have seen their unity in the past as well. That unity is limited to
paper. The people did not get any result."
Obaidul Quader thinks that the unity of BNP will not be able
to confuse the people as it was in the past. Regarding the call of the party's
secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir to wake up the BNP leaders and
workers, the general secretary of the Awami League said, "It is understood
through the statement of Mr. Fakhrul that the BNP leaders and workers are
always asleep."
"The BNP does not think about the development of the
country and the people of the country, they only think about themselves and how
to get to power by conspiring," Quader added.
Mentioning that the people of the country are now happy with
Sheikh Hasina's government, he said, "People are proud of the indomitable
Bangladesh under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina. The people of the country do
not want to go back to that misrule of BNP."
"People now understand that the negative politics of
the BNP has engulfed the BNP," said the Awami League general secretary.
