The administration of Rajshahi University (RU) has
permanently dismissed two teachers on charges of taking leave without
permission and taking fake maternity leave. At the same time, the promotion of
another teacher has been suspended for four years.

and associate professor of law.
The two teachers who were permanently expelled were Umme

university. She is accused of being absent from work illegally and staying on
leave without permission and staying abroad without clearance. After the
allegations were proved, it was decided to dismiss her permanently. The other

accused of forging maternity leave from the High Court by forging the
signatures of the superintendent and the doctor. An inquiry committee was
formed into the allegations. After the allegations were proved, it was decided
to dismiss her permanently.
Besides, Vishnu Kumar Adhikari, an assistant professor at
the Institute of Education and Research, has been suspended for four years for
sexually harassing a student.
