Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has paid homage rich tributes
to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Tungipara,
Gopalganj. Later, she took part in Fateha recitation and special munajat
seeking forgiveness of the souls of the martyred Bangabandhu and her family
members who were killed on 15 August 1975.
At 12:30 pm on Tuesday (May 31), Prime Minister Sheikh
Hasina paid her respects by laying a wreath at the altar of Bangabandhu's
mausoleum.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's younger sisters Sheikh
Rehana, Sheikh Kabir Hossain, Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed, Gopalganj District Awami
League President Chowdhury Emdadul Haque, General Secretary Mahbub Ali Khan,
Tungipara Upazila Awami League President Sheikh Abul Bashar Khair, General
Secretary M Babul Sheikh, Tungipara Upazila Chairman Solaiman Biswas, Local
Awami League leaders including Municipal Mayor Sheikh Tozammel Haque Tutul were
present at that time.
Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina reached Bangabandhu's
mausoleum complex at 12:17 pm on Tuesday.
After Johar in the afternoon, Prime Minister will join the
milad mahfil held at Bangabandhu's Samadhi Soudha Complex Mosque. The Prime
Minister is scheduled to leave Tungipara for Dhaka at 4 pm.
