Chhatra League blockade lifted in CU, accused arrested

The BCL has lifted the blockade to protest the beating of two BCL leaders at Chittagong University. They withdrew the blockade after the accused was arrested.

It is learned that Pradeep Chakraborty Durjoy and Mohammad Rashed, leaders of VX group of Chhatra League, came to the campus from Gate No. 1 on a motorcycle around 1 am on Tuesday (May 31). On the way, some followers of Hanif, a local Juba League leader in the Mazar Gate area, stopped the motorcycle with local weapons and beat them.

Their motorcycles were also vandalized. In protest of this incident, the followers of VX group locked the main gate of the university and the gate of gate number two at 7 am on Wednesday (June 1).
