Inter-club shooting competition started under the patronage of Bashundhara

The inaugural ceremony of the 25th Inter-Club Shooting Competition was held under the management of Bangladesh Shooting Sport Federation and under the patronage of Bashundhara powered spices.

Mr. Intekhabul Hamid, Secretary General of Bangladesh Shooting Sport Federation inaugurated the competition on Wednesday (June 1).

Mr. MM Jasim Uddin on behalf of Mr. Shafiat Sobhan, Vice Chairman, Bashundhara Group was present as the Chief Guest on the occasion. The inaugural function was presided over by Mr. AN Istiaq Ahmed, Senior Vice President, Bangladesh Shooting Sport Federation.

Speaking as a guest on the occasion, Mr. MM Jasim Uddin said that Bashundhara Group is very happy and proud to be able to integrate itself in such an event. You all know that Bashundhara Group is the only corporate group in the country who are very sports friendly. In the last ten years, we have been involved in almost every kind of sports in the country.

Bashundhara Group has built a sports complex on 200 bighas of land, which includes two full-fledged stadiums, international standard swimming pool, indoor games, gymnastics platform and many more only because it’s love for sports. Bashundhara Kings is now a well-known name in football not only in the country but also abroad. We are also sponsoring the women's football team from Bashundhara Kings. We are also optimistic about the shooting sport. Our Vice Chairman Mr. Shafiat Sobhan personally hopes for the success of this tournament, best wishes to all on his behalf.

Mr. Intekhabul Hamid said, “Sincere thanks and gratitude to Bashundhara Group for being with us in this event. We have not been able to organize this for the last two years due to Corona, but this time with the patronage of Bashundhara, we have been able to start this event.

A total of 350 people including 46 club officials and other managing officers including 163 male and 81 female athletes from 46 rifle / shooting clubs participated in the 25th inter-club shooting competition this year. Athletes will participate in 2 categories open site rifle / pistol and 50m and match air rifle and match air pistol events.
