Health Minister Zahid Maleque today said one crore people
across the country will be given booster doses during the booster dose
vaccination week.
He said 85,000 workers from 16,650 centers across the
country would take part in the program. So far, 12.87 crore people have been
given the first dose, 11.77 crore people have been given the second dose and
1.5 crore people have been given the booster dose.
Health Minister Zahid Maleque said this at the inaugural
function of Booster Dose Vaccination Week at Manikganj Colonel Malek Medical
College Hospital at around 12:30 pm on Saturday.
At that time, Zahid Maleque said Bangladesh has garnered
praise from all over the world for COVID vaccination. Everything is normal in
the country due to COVID control. We want to keep the countrymen better.
During this, he urged the vaccinators to get vaccinated in a
fair and peaceful manner.
The function was attended by senior officials of local
administration including the director general (DG) of the Directorate General
of Health Services (DGHS).
