6 sentenced to death for killing husband-wife after gang rape

A court today has sentenced six people to death for killing husband and wife and disappearing their bodies after gang rape in Narayanganj.

Judge Nazmul Haque Shyamal of the District Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal handed over the verdict on Monday afternoon.

The death sentence awardees are — Sumon, Lokman, Shafiq, Sumon, Arif and Md. Jamal. Among them Sumon, Lokman and Shafiq are fugitives.

The information is confirmed by the court police inspector Asaduzzaman.
