Two more Bangladeshi Hajj pilgrims died in Saudi Arabia's
Medina on Tuesday (June 21). With this, the death toll of Bangladeshi pilgrims
has risen to six so far.
In a daily bulletin of Hajj, the IT helpdesk of the Ministry
of Religious Affairs confirmed the information.
Md Abdul Jalil Khan, 62, of Pirgachha in Rangpur, who was
traveling to Saudi Arabia under private management, died on Tuesday night while
entering Reazul Jannah near Gate No. 38 of the Al-Masjid an-Nabawi in Medina.
His passport number is BX0552614.
The other deceased was identified as Beauty Begum, 47, of
Kotwali, Dhaka. She went to Saudi Arabia under the private management of Hajj
pilgrims. Her passport number is EA0009584. Beauty Begum died at King Fahad
Hospital in Medina on Tuesday morning, local time.
Meanwhile, a total of 28,309 pilgrims reached Saudi Arabia
from Bangladesh so far to perform Holly Hajj this year, according to the
bulletin.
A total of 78 flights carried the pilgrims to their
destination, including 43 flights from Biman Bangladesh Airlines, 30 flights
from Saudi Airlines, and five flights from Flynas Airlines.
Out of these pilgrims, 3,385 are under government management
and 24,924 are under private management.
