Mahdi removed nut-bolts of Padma Bridge purposefully using range

Dhaka Metropolitan Police's Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) chief Mohammad Asaduzzaman said that the nut-bolts of Padma Bridge was removed purposefully using a range by Mahdi. He said, first Mahdi loosened the nut-bolts using range then a made video of opening it with his hands. He took the range with him to intentionally open the nut.

CTTC chief Mohammad Asaduzzaman told this in news conference at the DMP Media Center on Minto Road in the capital on Thursday (June 30th).

According to the CTTC, Mahdi was once a member of Chhatra Shibir. His home is in Munshiganj. He passed Dakhil and Alim from a madrasa named Tamirul Millat.

He said the day after the inauguration of the Padma Bridge, when the bridge was opened to all, Mahdi went there with a Range. He went to Padma Bridge with the plan to open the nut-bolt.
