'Motorcycles not likely to be allowed on Padma Bridge before Eid'

Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam said there is no possibility of allowing motorcycles on the Padma Bridge before Eid-ul-Azha.

He made the remarks at a press briefing at the Secretariat after a virtual cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday (July 3rd).

The cabinet secretary said it is very difficult to allow motorcycles before Eid. Cameras and speedguns with artificial intelligence will be installed on the Padma bridge. After that a decision on allowing motorcycle will be made. They are working on it. But I don’t think it will be complete before Eid.
