The Prime Minister has left for Tungipara

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has left for Tungipara in Gopalganj with her family members by road via Padma Bridge. She started her journey from Ganobhaban to Tungipara around 8 am on Monday (July 4).

It is learned that the Prime Minister will arrive in Tungipara at 11 am and pay homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by laying a wreath at the altar.

The Prime Minister along with her family members will take part in Fateha recitation and special munajat seeking the blessings for the souls of Bangabandhu and the martyred members of her family. She will leave Tungipara for Dhaka by helicopter in the afternoon.

According to party sources, the Prime Minister will be accompanied by her son Sajeeb Wazed Joy, daughter Saima Wazed Putul and other family members.

Gopalganj Superintendent of Police Ayesha Siddique said that impeccable security measures have been taken centering on the arrival of the Prime Minister in Tungipara.
