In a new global survey, Bangladesh has ranked seventh among
the world's angriest, saddest and most stressed nations.
scored 45 on the index while Afghanistan topped the list
with a score of 59, says the recently revealed report titled "2022 Global
Emotions Report".
This year, between February 27 and March 30, as many as
1,000 people in Bangladesh participated in the face-to-face survey conducted in
the country.
The survey determined the responses to questions regarding
people’s physical pain, worry, sadness, tension and anger worldwide to find 2021
more stressful than 2020.
The report revealed that 2021 displaced 2020 as the most
stressful year in recent history, with a new highest record of 41% of adults
worldwide saying they experienced a lot of stress.
Experiences of stress, worry and sadness shifted upward in
2021 and created new records compared to 2020.
Worry rose two points, while stress and sadness increased
one point.
The percentage of adults worldwide who experienced pain also
rebounded by two points.
Gallup polled 127,000 adults in 122 countries for this
survey.
The top 10 unhappiest countries are Afghanistan, 59, Lebanon
58, Iraq, 51, Sierra Leone, 50, Jordan, 48, Turkey, 46, Bangladesh, 45,
Ecuador, 45, Guinea, 45 and Benin, 44.
