Anti-drug drive in the capital, 40 arrested

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 40 people from different areas of Dhaka in an anti-drug operation. They were arrested for selling and consuming drugs in separate drives from Wednesday morning to Thursday morning. 

According to the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) source, they have been arrested from different parts of Dhaka as part of regular anti-drug operations. During the operations, 7,858 pieces of yaba, 37 kg and 250 gm of cannabis, 50 gm of heroin, 85 bottles of phensedyl, and 70 injections were recovered from them. 

29 cases have been filed against the arrestees under the Narcotics Control Act.
