Anti-drug drive in the capital, 19 arrested

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) Crime and Intelligence Division has arrested 19 people on charges of selling and consuming drugs in anti-drug operations conducted in different areas of the capital.

They were arrested from 6 am on Tuesday (July 12) to 6 am on Wednesday (July 12) in different police stations in the capital.

4,502 pieces of yaba and 350 grams of cannabis were recovered from them at the time of arrest.

They were arrested in various police stations in the capital as part of a regular anti-drug drive.

10 cases have been registered against the arrested under the Narcotics Control Act.
