Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hassan Mahmud has said that no foreign ambassador or representative of any international organization has the right to put anyone in power.

"It is not appropriate to interfere on our internal affairs," he said. Even if they don't want to, the BNP goes to them whenever anything happens. This hampers the image of the country. I request the BNP to go to the people instead rushing to the foreigners. That will be good for them.

He was speaking to reporters after unveiling the “Delta Plan 2100 at a glance” at the Information and Broadcasting Ministry's meeting room at the Secretariat on Wednesday (July 13th).

Responding to a question from reporters, the minister said the BNP always runs to foreigners, to foreign ambassadors, to various foreign organizations. The people are the owners of this country. The people of this country are the owners of power and they elect the representatives.
