22 Bangladeshis died during Hajj, 9964 returned home

Another Bangladeshi Haji died in Saudi Arabia after performing Hajj this year. So far the death toll has increased to 22. Last Sunday (July 17) Mst. Mumtaz Begum (49) of Mymensingh district passed away in holy Mecca. Her passport number is EE0210200.

The IT Helpdesk of the Ministry of Religious Affairs reported this information in the Hajj Bulletin.

Among the pilgrims who died, 15 were male and 7 were female. Among them, 18 died in Makkah, 3 in Madinah and 1 in Jeddah.

On the other hand, 9 thousand 964 pilgrims returned home from Saudi Arabia after Hajj.

Hajj was held in Saudi Arabia on July 8. Earlier, 60 thousand 146 pilgrims went to Saudi Arabia from Bangladesh on 165 flights from June 5 to July 5. The return flight for the Hajis started on July 14.

The IT helpdesk said that a total of 9,964 pilgrims returned to the country in four days. Total number of return flights is 27. Among them, there are 11 flights of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, 13 flights of Saudia and 3 flights of Flynas. Return flight for the Hajis will end on August 4.
