Area-wise load shedding from Tuesday

Prime Minister's Advisor on Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury said that the country is going for area-wise load shedding from tomorrow Tuesday (July 19). The meeting also decided to make public and private offices virtual.

This decision was taken in a meeting at the Prime Minister's office on Monday (July 18).

The meeting also informed that, power generation has been suspended in the country's diesel-based power plants.

Besides, reduction of public and private office hours by one to two hours is being considered, but it has not been finalized yet.

Minister of State for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid Bipu, Chief Secretary of Prime Minister's Office Ahmed Kaykaus, Secretary of Prime Minister's Office Tofazzal Hossain were also present in the meeting.
