Considering the current global situation, the government has
decided to virtualize government and private offices to save electricity.
This decision was taken at a coordination meeting on power
and energy matters at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) in Tejgaon in the
capital on Monday (18 July) morning.
Prime Minister’s Adviser on Energy, Power, and Mineral
Resources Dr. Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury told the media about the matter, after
the meeting.
In the meeting, it has been decided to “virtualize
government and private offices to save electricity”. Besides, the Ministry of
Public Administration will coordinate the virtual management of government
offices.
“How to reduce the time in the government offices is also
being considered,” said Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister Ahmed
Kaykaus.
State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources
Nasrul Hamid, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) Ahmed
Kaykaus, and Secretary to the PMO Tofazzal Hossain were also present at the
meeting.
