Rail is our national asset, and it is our duty to protect that asset: HC

“People risk their live and climb on the roof the train. Falling from the train can cause fatal accident. But you don’t seem to care at all. This can’t be.” The High Court said all these in reference to three railway officials.

The high court bench of Justice Md Nazrul Islam Talukder and Justice Khizir Hayat made the comments on Thursday (July 21).

Addressing the official, the High Court said, why there will be so much mismanagement in the railways? Why will be the tickets in black market? Why people go on the roof of the train? Do you want to ruin the rail system? This situation cannot continue.

The court also said that railways are our national wealth. You are entrusted with the responsibility of protecting that wealth. But you are not doing your duty properly.

At this time, the High Court ordered the railway officials to perform their duties properly.
