Anti-drug drive in the capital, 87 arrested

The crime and intelligence department of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 87 people on charges of selling and consuming drugs in anti-drug operations in different police stations in the capital.

At this time, a large quantity of drugs was seized from the arrested.

This information was confirmed by the media and public relations department of DMP on Thursday (July 28) morning.

According to the DMP, 87 people were arrested in various police station areas of the capital from six o'clock on Wednesday (July 27) to six o'clock on Thursday (July 28) as part of the regular anti-narcotics operation.

During the arrest, 5 thousand 440 pieces of yaba, 67 grams of heroin, 7 kg 949 grams of cannabis, 85 bottles of phensedyl and 104 pieces of narcotic injections were seized from them.

60 cases have been registered against the arrested under the Narcotics Control Act in the concerned police stations.
