11 additional judges appointed in the High Court

The President has appointed 11 new Additional Judges in the High Court Division of the Supreme Court.

The Ministry of Law has issued a notification in this regard on Sunday (July 31).

According to the notification, under Article 98 of the Constitution, they have been appointed as Additional Judges in the Bangladesh Supreme Court, High Court Division for a period of not more than two years from the date of taking oath. This appointment will be effective from the day of swearing in.

The newly appointed additional judges are, Shaukat Ali Chowdhury, District and Sessions Judge (PRL); Atabullah, District and Sessions Judge, Comilla; Biswajit Debnath, Deputy Attorney General; Aminul Islam, Deputy Attorney General; Advocate Ali Reza, Bangladesh Supreme Court; Bazlur Rahman, Registrar General Bangladesh Supreme Court; KM Imrul Kayesh, Metropolitan Sessions Judge, Dhaka; Fahmida Quader, District and Sessions Judge, Tangail; Bashir-Ullah, Deputy Attorney General; SM Masud Hossain Dolan, Advocate, Bangladesh Supreme Court; AKM Rabiul Hasan, Advocate, Bangladesh Supreme Court.
