Three shops fined for selling eggs at higher prices in Ashulia

Directorate of Consumer Rights fined three shop owners in Ashulia Tk 4.5 lakh. They have been creating crisis in the market by stocking eggs, selling eggs at higher prices and not keeping price lists in the shops.

Assistant Director of Consumer Rights Directorate Abdul Jabbar Mandal conducted raids on egg warehouses in Baipail Bagabari Bazar area under Ashulia police station on Saturday (August 20).

Abdul Jabbar Mondal said that some unscrupulous traders have increased the price through syndicates in the egg market. On the basis of such news, raids were conducted in egg warehouses in Ashulia.

At that time, for various complaints including selling eggs at a higher price than the fixed price, creating crisis in the market by hoarding eggs and not keeping the price list, Asif's egg supplier was fined 1 lakh, SJ Agro was fined 1 lakh and Faisal Enterprises was fined 2 lakh 50 thousand taka.
