BFIU seeks WASA MD's bank account info

The Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) of Bangladesh Bank has sought for the bank account details of Wasa Managing Director Engineer Taqsem A Khan.

Sources of Bangladesh Bank confirmed the matter on Thursday.

According to sources, BFIU has sought details of all bank transactions, including deposits and withdrawals, of Wasa Managing Director on Wednesday (Aug 24).

On Aug 17, the High Court had sought details on how much salary, bonus, TADA and other facilities and allowances were provided to Taqsem A Khan over the past 13 years as Managing Director of Dhaka WASA.

Besides, directives were alos issued for the chairman of the Dhaka WASA board to submit these details to the court in the form of a report within 60 days.
