ACC is going to the High Court seeking cancellation of Samrat's bail

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has prepared an application seeking cancellation of the bail of Ismail Hossain Chowdhury Samrat, the expelled leader of Dhaka Metropolitan South Jubo League.

ACC lawyer Khurshid Alam Khan confirmed the matter to reporters on Saturday (August 27).

He said, I have prepared an application to cancel the bail of Ismail Hossain Chowdhury. This application will be filed in the High Court on Sunday (August 28).

Earlier on August 22, Ismail Hossain Chowdhury Samrat was granted bail in the case of acquiring assets outside of legal income. Judge Al Asad Md Asifuzzaman of Dhaka Special Judge Court-6 ordered him bail.

At that time the Samrat's lawyer Afroza Shahnaz said that the emperor is seriously ill. Medical documents have been submitted to the court in this behalf. The court granted him bail after hearing both parties.

In terms of bail, Samrat's lawyer said that the court has given some conditions to the emperor and said that Samrat has to submit his passport to the court. And he cannot go abroad without the permission of the court.

On the other hand, Ismail Hossain Chowdhury Samrat left the hospital on Friday (August 26) after being released on bail.
