Local people of Subarnachar Upazila have handed over four
Rohingyas including a woman who escaped from Noakhali's Dwip Upazila Hatiar
Bhasanchar to the police on Friday.
They were arrested from Janata Bazar and Charjubli Union of
Keramatpur village of Charclark Union of the Upazila at around 10 am.
The arrestees are Gulbahar (50), Md. Khairul Amin (24), Md.
Farooq (26) and Md. Snow (30) of Bhasanchar Shelter Project Cluster No 80.
Locals said that this morning, two men including a woman
were roaming in the Janata Bazaar area. They seemed suspicious. Later, locals
questioned them. At that time they admitted that they were Rohingya citizens.
After that, they were handed over to the police afternoon.
Rajabbar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Debapriya Das
confirmed the matter.
He said they were sent back to Bhasanchar Rohingya camp
around 1 pm.
