Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina arrived in New Delhi on a
four-day visit at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight carrying the Prime
Minister arrived at New Delhi's Palam Airport at 12 noon (Bangladesh time) on
Monday (September 5).
On arrival at the airport, she was welcomed by India's
Minister of State for Railways and Textiles Darshana Vikram and Bangladesh High
Commissioner to India Muhammad Imran.
Earlier today (September 5) at 10 am, the Prime Minister
left Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport for New Delhi on a Biman
Bangladesh Airlines VVIP flight.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will meet Indian President Droupadi
Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar during
her visit to New Delhi.
During this visit, the issues of trade, energy, common river
water distribution and cooperation in solving the Rohingya crisis will get more
importance. Those concerned are expecting that several agreements and
memorandums of understanding will be signed between the two countries during
this visit.
The two countries are giving special importance to this
visit to strengthen relations and mutual cooperation.
