PM to open Bangabandhu Tunnel in two phase in October-November: Quader

Road Transport and Bridges Minister and Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the Bangabandhu Tunnel in Chittagong's Karnaphuli river in two parts in October-November this year.

He said this while participating in the 'BSRF Dialogue' organized by the Bangladesh Secretariat Reporters Forum (BSRF) at the secretariat's media center on Wednesday (September 7). It was chaired by the president of the organization Tapan Biswas and moderated by the general secretary Masudul Haque.

He said that our mega project Karnaphuli Bangabandhu Tunnel will be inaugurated this year. The tunner has two tubes. Among them, one will be inaugurated in October by the Prime Minister and the other will be inaugurated in November.

He also said, Bangladesh China Friendship Bridge has been completed. Now I have 87 small and big bridges waiting for inauguration. There are border roads in many parts of the world, the army has started the construction of 300 km road on our border.
