One became secretary, two promoted

Bangladesh Employee Welfare Board Director General Dr. Nahid Rashid has been appointed as the Secretary of the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock by the government.

Besides, the government has promoted the additional secretary of the Ministry of Housing and Public Works, Kazi Washi Uddin, as a secretary in the same ministry. And Md Mohsin Chowdhury, Additional Secretary of Electricity Department, has been appointed as Director General of Bangladesh Employees Welfare Board.

On Thursday (September 15), the Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard.

Dr. Nahid Rashid started her career in 1991 as a 10th batch officer of the administration cadre of Bangladesh Civil Service. She joined Bangladesh Employee Welfare Board as Director General on 18 August 2021.

Before becoming the Director General of the Board, Dr. Nahid Rashid was the Additional Secretary in the Economic Relations Department. Besides, she performed important duties in various ministries and departments of the government.
