Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said that Bangladesh does not want war with Myanmar.

He said this to reporters after a program organized by Dhaka Ahsania Mission at Dhanmondi in the capital on Saturday (September 17).

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said, we do not want war, we are trying for a peaceful solution. We will continue our efforts to find a peaceful solution. We will take it to the United Nations. We will do everything.

He said, Myanmar never keep their words. We are making all bilateral and multilateral efforts. Our efforts will continue. We want the 1.2 million Rohingya who have taken shelter here to be repatriated peacefully. We are trying that.

The Home Minister said, we are strongly protesting the ammunition that is falling on our border. They are talking to the army, the Foreign Ministry has called them and informed them clearly about our position. Our prime minister never wants war; we want peaceful solution. Let their internal conflict remain within their boundaries.

He said there is a Rohingya camp on the zero line next to the Myanmar border. Yesterday, one person died due to bullet injury in that camp. Some people were injured and we strongly condemn it. We are always making efforts to stop this firing. The Foreign Ministry is working on this. We think they will understand the mistake and will be restrained in the future.
