Habib getting promoted again before becoming DMP Commissioner

Habibur Rahman is taking charge as the next Police Commissioner of Dhaka. But before even becoming police commissioner, he is getting another good news. He is getting promoted as Additional IGP by next Monday or Tuesday. He will be given the charge of Tourist Police Chief after promoting him as Additional Inspector General of Police. Usually someone of the rank of Additional IGP is appointed as Commissioner of DMP. From that consideration Habib is being promoted.

It is to be noted that, the current commissioner of DMP is on contract and his contract will expire on October 28. That is why Habib is being promoted now. Several sources in the government have confirmed that the process of appointing him as Police Commissioner will begin soon after his promotion. Habibur Rahman is an officer of the 17th batch. He has a reputation as a very talented and honest officer and Habibur Rahman is one of those who have achieved success in various tasks as an efficient officer in the police. It is almost certain that this 17th batch officer will be the next Police Commissioner of Dhaka and that process has now started.
