CEC will go to Nepal to observe the elections

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal will go to Nepal to observe the election. CEC is scheduled to visit Nepal from November 18 to November 22, said Deputy Secretary of Election Commission Md Shah Alam.

He said, we have sent letter to the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG), Public Service Commission (PSC) and Election Commission Secretariat in this regard.

Md Shah Alam said that Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal and CEC Private Secretary Md Riaz Uddin will visit Nepal to observe the 'Election of House, of Representatives and Provincial Assembly of Nepal'. CEC will leave Dhaka on November 18 and return home on November 22.

Regarding the conditions of CEC's visit, Deputy Secretary said, CEC will leave Dhaka on November 18 and return to Dhaka on November 22. The duration of this trip and the time spent in transit will be counted as duty. The Government of Nepal will provide hotel, food and local transport facilities. On the other hand, Bangladesh Election Commission will pay Dhaka-Nepal-Dhaka air fare and other incidental expenses.
