Opening 100 bridges simultaneously a rare incident: PM

Informing that the government is working for the development of communication system, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said inauguration of 100 bridges at a time is a rare incident for the country.

She said this while virtually inaugurating the newly-constructed bridges simultaneously from her official Ganabhaban residence on Monday (November 7).

The government has constructed 100 bridges at the cost of Tk 879.62 crore. Of the bridges, 45 are in Chattogram division, 17 in Sylhet division, 14 in Barisal division, six in Mymensingh, five each in Gopalganj, Rajshahi and Rangpur, two in Dhaka and one in Cumilla.
