Seminar on Dichotomy of Liberal Humanism held at IU

A PhD seminar on ‘The Dichotomy of Liberal Humanism in E.M Forster’s Novels’ was held at Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia on Tuesday. IU English department arranged the seminar at the University’s Rabindra-Nazrul Academic Building around 10:30 am.

 IU Arts faculty dean Professor M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari addressed the seminar as the chief guest while English department Professor Shahadat Hossain Azad spoke as a chief discussant with Professor Miah Md. Rashiduzzaman of the same department in the chair.

 M Sazzad Hossain, associate professor of English department conducted the seminar.

Around 20 teachers from different departments of the university including, Professor M Johurul Islam of Law department, Professor M Asaduzzaman of Mathematics department, Sherina Khatun of Political science department and Shahida Akhtar of Law and land management department were present here.

 PhD fellow Afroza Siddika presented her research article under the supervision of Professor M Mamunur Rahman of English department. 

The fellow, Afroza Siddika, broadly explained and investigated, in his research paper, the issue of liberal humanism in the select works of E.M. Forster.
