32 arrested in Mohakhali on charges of anti-government conspiracy

Police have arrested 32 people from SKS Tower in Mahakhali of the capital on charges of anti-government conspiracy.

They were arrested in a raid on Friday (November 11) night. The police claimed that the arrested had appeared at the tower's food court to "conspire against the government".

Former councilor of Ward No. 20 and former president of Banani Thana BNP Abul Kalam Azad are among those arrested.

Kafrul Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Hafizur Rahman confirmed the matter and said that 32 people were arrested during a raid at the food court of SKS Tower in Mohakhali at around 10 pm. There was a case in Kafrul police station, in that case they were absconding accused. In addition, on Friday night, they met in a secret meeting to plot against the government.

The OC of Kafrul Police Station claims that most of the arrested are involved in BNP politics.
