‘Digital Bangladesh means to ensure free flow of information’

“We are living in a digital Bangladesh. Digital Bangladesh means to ensure the free flow of information. There should be a supply of information everywhere from the field to the official court. We have to strengthen his hand for which our digital Bangladesh is possible.”

IU Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Mahbubur Rahman made the remarks at a discussion meeting held at the ‘Mrittunjoyee Mujib’ mural on the campus on Saturday morning. 

Earlier, an awareness rally about the ‘Right to Information’ was brought out in front of the university’s administrative building around 11:00 am. The rally ended at the ‘Mrittunjoyee Mujib’ mural after parading the main roads of the campus. Later a short discussion program was held there.

IU Treasurer Professor Alamgir Hossain Bhuiya, acting register H M Ali Hasan, transport administrator Professor Anowar Hossain, proctor Professor Jahangir Hossain, information, publication and public relation director Dr. Amanur Aman were present at the occasion. Shahadat Hossain Azad, convener of the Right to Information Act implementation committee of the university presided over the program.

Press administrator Professor Sazzad Hossain, physical education division director M Sohel, planning and development division acting director Nowab Ali and IU BCL unit president Faisal Siddike Arafat were also present here, among others.
