Anti-corruption rally held at IU

The authorities of Islamic University in Kushtia on Sunday held an anti-corruption rally on the campus.

The rally was brought out around 11am from in front of the university’s administrative building, led by IU pro-vice-chancellor Professor M Mahbubur Rahman. After parading the main roads of the campus, the rally ended in front of the university’s ‘Mrittunjoyee Mujib’ mural. Later, a discussion programme was held there.

IU student advisor Professor Shelina Nasrin conducted the event while treasurer Professor M Alamgir Hossain Bhuiya, acting registrar HM Ali Hasan, proctor Professor Jahangir Hossain, transport administrator Professor Anowar Hossain and ICT cell director Professor Ahsan-Ul-Ambia were present. Above 50 teachers, students and officials of the university took part here.

Speakers, at the discussion, urged the whole people to come forward for rooting out corruption, the major hindrance in the economic growth and development of the nation.
