Public Administration day celebrated at IU

Public Administration Day-2023 was celebrated at Islamic University in Kushtia on Wednesday amid festivity and much enthusiasm. 

Celebrating the day, IU Public Administration department brought out a colorful procession from in front of the Mir Mosharraf Hossain academic building of the university around 11:00 am. After parading the main streets of the campus, the procession ended at the Birshrestha Hamidur Rahman Central Auditorium of the university. Later, a discussion programme was held there.

IU pro-vice-chancellor Prof Dr Mahbubur Rahman addressed the event as chief guest. Professor Dr M Lutfor Rahman, chairman of the department presided over the program while treasurer Prof Dr M Alamgir Hossain Bhuiya and Social Sciences faculty dean Prof Dr AKM Motinur Rahman attended as the special guests. 

Shammy Akter and Ashek-e-Khoda jointly conducted the event while Prof Dr Fakrul Islam, convener of the Public Administration day celebration committee, delivered the welcome speech. Proctor Prof Shahadat Hossain Azad, Prof Begum Rokshana Mili, Prof Mohammad Selim, Prof Zulfiquar Hossain and Prof Gias Uddin were present here, among others. Around two hundred students from various sessions of the department took part here.

At the beginning of the programme, Chairman awards were given to meritorious students for achieving outstanding results. Later, a cultural function was held participated by the students of the department.
