Syeda Rahela Begum's second death anniversary today

Today, April 17, is the second death anniversary of Syeda Rahela Begum, the mother of Syed Borhan Kabir, Executive Director of Poriprekkhit, and Editor of Bangla Insider. She passed away on this day (April 17) 2021 at 7:20am while undergoing treatment (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun). She was 78 years old at the time of her death.

Syeda Rahela Begum worked as a teacher for more than 50 years. Her remarking contribution to women's education in Rangpur is widely recognized. For 37 years, she served as the headmistress of Moriam Nessa Girls High School in Munsipara. She passed away leaving behind three sons and a daughter. She was buried beside her husband's grave in Chhatra, Pirganj, Rangpur.

On the occasion of the death anniversary of Late Sayeda Rahela Begum, her children have organized prayer gatherings in Pirganj, Rangpur city and Dhaka. They have requested for the forgiveness of her soul and asked for prayers from the people of the country.
