ARTICLE 19 and Plan International Bangladesh Collaborate to Launch Online Human Rights Certificate Course

ARTICLE 19, a renowned international human rights organization dedicated to upholding freedom of expression and the right to information, proudly announced the launch of its inaugural "Online Human Rights Certificate Course." This groundbreaking initiative aims to enhance understanding and raise awareness of human rights, with a particular focus on the Bangla-speaking community. Importantly, this course is open to all, free of charge, making it accessible to a wide audience, including human rights defenders, journalists, activists, women, youth, indigenous people, Dalits, persons with disabilities, and transgender individuals. Upon successful completion, participants will receive an online certificate.

ARTICLE 19 in collaboration with Plan International Bangladesh has developed this online course under the “Our Voices Our Choices: Women and Youth for Democratic Civic Space (OVOC)” project with financial support from the European Commission.

This course on Human Rights will provide knowledge about human rights and the human rights mechanisms that protect people. As well as it also imparts the skills needed to promote, defend and apply human rights in daily life. Human rights education fosters the attitudes and behaviours needed to uphold human rights for all members of society. By participating in this course, students will gain an understanding of human rights. They will learn and be aware of their own and others' human rights. They will be able to play an effective role in protecting human rights.
