In the history of 52 years, only two people have guided Bangladesh in the right direction

I we look at the 52 years history of Bangladesh, only two leaders have truly guided the people in the correct direction. And all other leadership has led Bangladesh towards failure and darkness. The two leaders who have shown the right path are the undisputed Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, and the Philosophical statesperson Sheikh Hasina. Without proper direction, a nation can plunge into darkness, as evidenced by Bangladesh from 1975 to 1996. Leadership is not only about leading a country; if a family lacks the right guardian, the family cannot be directed on the right path. Similarly, if a society lacks proper leadership, it cannot be properly governed.

If we look at BMRC, Professor Dr. Syed Modachher Ali assumed his position on July 25, 2016. Comparing the BMRC before and after his leadership, the contrast is stark. This is where the importance of effective leadership becomes palpable. The duty of a national leader, who serves as the head of the state, involves choosing the appropriate leadership for each institution and providing guidance to that leadership. This is precisely the task that the philosophical statesperson Sheikh Hasina is undertaking. In essence, politics holds the key position. Without proper politics, the absence of democracy means that the development and progress of the country cannot be directed in the correct path. The word philosophical is very important here because nobody cares about institutions like BMRC except the philosophical leaders. Those who lack philosophical vision think that they are not very necessary. They are more focused on building their own fortune. To them gaing power means looting. But the philosophical statesperson Sheikh Hasina understood that if we want to build a great state, it is essential to prioritize research and that research should be centered around medical science research. We need to create a community of people who are technology-dependent and have a scientific mindset. This community will be led by the Bangladesh Medical Research Council (BMRC). I am very optimistic that the current leadership of BMRC will take it forward in this new initiative. Sheikh Hasina desires the goal that she, as the Prime Minister, has set, and the goal that the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, dreamt of achieving for which 30 lakh martyrs sacrificed their lives.
