Through Saima's leadership the world will know about the success of Bangladesh

Under the leadership of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, we achieved the independence of sovereign Bangladesh. Through the realization of his dream, we are advancing towards building a modern and developed Bangladesh. Philosophical statesperson Sheikh Hasina is working tirelessly to fulfill the dream of the father of the nation. She has taken the helm of Bangladesh's health sector to unique heights. This adds another feather to our achievement. Saima Wazed has officially started her journey as the Regional Director of South-East Asia of the World Health Organization. Through this, Bangladesh has taken a place as a global health policy maker. It is a pride and a unique achievement of Bangladesh.

This policy making position of the World Health Organization (WHO) is of utmost importance and involves a lengthy process. Several steps need to be followed. Firstly, the candidate must have international recognition in the field of health. There needs to be discussion or deliberation about the candidate's exceptional qualifications. Those selected for this position are individuals who are praised and well-known for their work. Saima, with her expertise in dealing with autism, is a guiding force in this exceptional role. She has brought the issue of autism to the forefront globally. Due to her efforts, autism has been placed on the priority list of the United Nations and the World Health Organization.

The second topic is about the current state of the healthcare sector in the country from which a candidate originates. If the country has made significant progress in the healthcare sector, the candidates from that country are likely to be less appealing to members from other countries if they are unsuccessful in advancing healthcare policies. Therefore, even if a person is qualified, they may not be elected to a such prominent position of the World Health Organization (WHO), if their home country has not excelled in the field of healthcare. Under the leadership of the Philosophical Statesperson Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh has achieved unprecedented progress in the healthcare sector. It is due to such advancements that it is possible for someone like Saima to be selected for a crucial position in the World Health Organization (WHO).

I want to acknowledge Sheikh Hasina, the philosophical statesperson, in two aspects. Sheikh Hasina's daughter, Saima Wazed, has illuminated her mother’s identity with her own light. She has established himself as a citizen of the world by practicing his intellect and mind. For this she had to go through a difficult path. Despite facing difficulties, she could have led a comfortable life. However, her mother did not allow her to take it easy. For Saima to achieve such milestone her mother surely played a povital role. Accepting the responsibility, Saima has been recognized for the progress in Bangladesh's healthcare system. I believe that under Saima's leadership, Bangladesh's healthcare sector will advance even further through her acceptance of responsibility in the World Health Organization. Saima's leadership will play a vital role in charting new initiatives in the healthcare sector in Southeast Asia.

Under Saima's guidance, Bangladesh will play a significant role in the health field in Southeast Asia. As Bangladesh gains experiences from other countries, it will also showcase its successes. Just as the world learns about Bangladesh, it will also learn about the achievements of Bangladesh."
