Saima Wazed also possesses the ability to lead crucial positions at the United Nations

The inauguration of Saima Wazed as the Regional Director of the World Health Organization is a matter of great pride and significance for the field of health, not only for Bangladesh but for the entire Bengali nation. Saima, with her skills, qualifications, and experience, has been elected to this position through a democratic process, making her a source of honour for Bangladesh and the Bengali community as a whole. Let me highlight some of her qualifications. Saima Wazed graduated in Psychology from Barry University in the United States in 1997 and obtained her postgraduate degree in Clinical Psychology in 2002. In 2004, she also earned a specialized degree in School Psychology. During her studies at Barry University, she conducted research on the development of women in Bangladesh, and her research work received recognition as the best scientific presentation from the Florida Academy of Sciences. This was a significant achievement. Saima's dedication to the advancement of women in Bangladesh and her research efforts have contributed to her being acknowledged for her outstanding scientific presentation by the Florida Academy of Sciences. This is a tremendous accomplishment.

Saima's inauguration as the regional head of the World Health Organization is a source of pride and honor for the field of healthcare in Bangladesh. Currently pursuing a doctoral degree, she is engaged in thesis work for her further education. Another significant area of her focus since 2008 has been on issues related to autism and neurodevelopmental disorders in children. The Neurodevelopmental Disability Trust Act, passed to address these concerns, is considered a monumental achievement for Saima. In 2014, she was honored with the World Health Organization's Excellence Award.

Since 2012, she has been working as a specialist consultant for the World Health Organization. Since 2019, she has also been working as a consultant on mental health and autism. Another aspect is that since 2020, she has taken on the responsibility of being a Thematic Ambassador for Vulnerability at the Climate Vulnerable Forum. Therefore, those who criticize without knowing anything, it is not at all justified. I don't think there is any lack in Saima Wazed's qualifications, her skills, her experience, her dedication, or anything else. The most significant thing is that she has not been gifted that position. She has been selected based on her qualifications. Through this, she has been entrusted with the responsibility for the health of around 150 crore people in this region. I believe she will certainly prove her competence. She has already shown it. Not only that, in the future, Saima Wazed also has the capability to provide leadership in important positions in organizations like the World Health Organization or the United Nations.
