Excessive alcohol consumption: A major cause of liver cirrhosis

Liver cirrhosis is an inflammatory disease of the digestive tract, resulting in liver dysfunction. The data from scientific research on liver cirrhosis shows that excess sugar, excessive alcohol consumption are the major cause of liver cirrhosis.

 And the main treatment for liver cirrhosis is stem cell or liver transplantation. And these two treatments can be done in Bangladesh. The Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt or ‘TIPS’ method, which doctors used yesterday to block blood flow to the liver or digestive tract, is not scientific or modern and it can also increase the risk of heart failure, said doctors.

 TIPS A procedure in which stains are applied to the inflamed part of the gastrointestinal tract to keep the digestive tract functioning through another temporary tube. But a 2017 survey found that this procedure increases the risk of heart failure and at risk of death by 36%. Moreover, experts believe that it is not a treatment for cirrhosis of the liver, but rather a treatment to stop the bleeding. Begum Khaleda Zia's doctors are misinterpreting the treatment and many doctors have claimed that it is an attempt to send Begum Khaleda Zia abroad at any cost.
