'Rape case' against Shakil, Ekattar TV is looking into the matter

The authorities of the private television channel are looking into the case of rape against Shakil Ahmed, the head of news of Ekattar Television. This was said in the news of Ekattar Television on Friday (October 5).

According to Ekattar TV, on November 3, a woman held a press conference at a restaurant in the capital and accused Shakil Ahmed, Head of News of Ekattar Television, of raping her. The next day, on November 4, the woman filed a case against Shakil at Gulshan police station. Police are investigating the case. Ekattar Television is also looking into the matter very seriously.

Mohammad Asaduzzaman, the deputy commissioner of the Gulshan division of the police, said Shakil Ahmed had been charged with rape and feticide in the case. The woman who filed the case is now admitted to the One-Stop Crisis Center (OCC) of Dhaka Medical College Hospital for medical examination, said OCC sources.

Regarding the allegation, Shakil Ahmed said that the police is investigating the matter. He hopes the police investigation will reveal the real truth.
