President Mohammad Abdul Hamid has accepted the resignation
letter of the newly resigned State Minister for Information and Broadcasting
Dr. Mohammad Murad Hasan. The official gazette was published on Tuesday (December
7) night. The gazette has been published after the notification was issued by
the cabinet department.
According to the Gazette, the resignation letter of State
Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murad Hasan of the Government of the
People's Republic of Bangladesh has been accepted by the President. This
resignation will be effective immediately.
Earlier in the day, Dr. Murad sent his resignation letter to
the office. Later at 3 pm, the state minister's public relations officer
Mohammad Gias Uddin submitted it to the cabinet secretary's office. From there
it was sent to the Prime Minister.
In his resignation letter sent to the Prime Minister, Murad
said, "I have been appointed as the Minister of State for Information and
Broadcasting in the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh." I
am willing to resign from the post of Minister of State for personal reasons
from December 7 today. In this context, I kindly request you to accept my
resignation letter with the aim of relieving me of the responsibility of the
Minister of State in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting from December
7.
