Ahmed Rafiq: A language activist admitted to hospital

Ahmed Rafiq, a language activist, Rabindra researcher, and essayist, has been admitted to the CCU of Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital in Dhaka with chest pain.

He was admitted to the hospital last Saturday (December 4) afternoon.

Born on 12 September 1929, Ahmed Rafique was awarded the Bangla Academy Award, the Ekushey Padak and the title of ‘Rabindra Tattwacharya’ at the Tagore Research Institute in Calcutta.
