PM: We’ve been able to fulfill the dreams of Begum Rokeya

We have been able to fulfill the dreams that Begum Rokeya Sakhawat Hossain. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said that women are now playing important roles in all the sectors including police and armed forces.

The Prime Minister said this in a virtual speech delivered from Ganobhaban on the occasion of awarding Begum Rokeya Padak-2021 on Thursday (December 9).

The Prime Minister said Begum Rokeya's house in Rangpur has been preserved by the government. Training is arranged for girls there. The University of Rangpur has been named after Begum Rokeya.

The Prime Minister said, not only by law but also by changing the thinking consciousness about women, women comrades have to work with this consciousness.
