Bashundhara Media Award-2021 in Journalism: Reports in 5 categories invited

Bashundhara Group, the largest industrial conglomerate in the country, has introduced awards for investigative journalism. There will be 11 awards in total. Each winner will receive Tk 2,50,000, a crest and a certificate. Journalists working in the country's newspapers, online news portals and television channels will be eligible for the Bashundhara Media Award-2021. Rape case against Shakil, the head of Ekattar TV

Private channel Ekattar Television's news chief Shakil Ahmed has been charged with rape. A woman filed the case with Gulshan Police Station on Thursday night (November 4). TRUB Award 2021: Naeem Nizam received a lifetime achievement award

Bangladesh Pratidin Editor Naeem Nizam received the Lifetime Achievement Award in Journalism at the Television Reporters Unity of Bangladesh (TRUB) Awards 2021. In recognition of his outstanding contributions to print and electronic media, TRUB has conferred this honor on him. Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud, who was the chief guest at the event, handed over the award to Naeem Nizam at the Samson H Chowdhury Auditorium of Dhaka Club on Friday (November 19) evening. Besides, Mukit Majumder, director of Channel I, Ilias Kanchan, actor Mahmud Sajjad (posthumous), and Dr. Hamida Khanam, teacher of Dhaka University, were also given lifetime achievement awards.
